Rest Day

Today we woke up to rain and more rain. After breakfast Jim decided to work on the bicycle as we take a rest day, only to discover that we have a broken spoke on our back wheel. Scott found a man staying at the motel who would loan us his pickup truck to drive the 30 miles one way to the nearest bicycle shop. The good news this gave us a chance to also stop at the grocery store and pick up food for supper. The rooms have microwaves so we were able to cook our frozen dinners. Even though this motel is miles from any other business, it did have a laundry so we were able to wash our clothes.

Mary Kay has had a head cold and cough for a couple of days. It was good day for her to rest and recover after two long days of bicycling.
