Rest Day

After yesterday's effort to climb Stevens Pass from West to East, we badly needed a day of rest. We slept in, ate breakfast in the motel, and then we went for a walk. At least Jim thought we were going for a walk. Mary Kay was going shopping. Along the way we passed a miniature golf course. This course had all grass fairways and greens. It was about 50 feet below the street and appeared to have 18 holes.

On the slope between the miniature golf course and the street, three goats lived and they were there to keep the grass and weeds short as well as attract tourists.

We walked all around the tourist's area of Leavenworth, looking in the shops and deciding on what restaurant we would eat at this evening. After our "walk", we retired to the motel, read books and rested. Mary Kay did not buy anything but food.
