Pateros to Mazama WA
Distance 58.5 Miles

After our not so good breakfast of cold dry oatmeal, which took an hour to be served we started up a gentle slope towards Mazama. It was a great ride following the river with lots of great views of the water. The traffic was light and a good ride. The temperature was warm, we stopped for lunch in Twisp. (Susan and Dave visited the Farmers market and bought pasta for our supper.) The ride was mostly uphill but the grades were small with enough downhill to make the day a good ride.

Somewhere there was a big motorcycle club ride as we passed lots of motorcycles all day going both directions, sometimes as many as 30 in a pack. We arrived at our Cabin in Mazama in the late afternoon, made a grocery list for the guys and they walked down to the small store. We had an excellent Pasta dinner, with 2 kinds of pasta, 2 vegetable dishes, salad, wine, cheese and crackers and A scrumptious dessert before an early bed time. All in all it is an excellent place to stay, large cabin with 3 bedrooms, a loft and 2 bathrooms, with a great view of the meadow from the cabin
