Badly Needed Rest Day
We slept in this morning as we were all tired when we finally got out of bed. We ate breakfast in the motel and walked to downtown Gettysburg, and then out to the Gettysburg Visitor Center. Along the way we stopped and read a number of signs about the houses that we passed. At the visitor center we watched a light show that showed how the Union and Confederate armies met and fought for three days, and viewed the artifacts they had from the War. We took the trolley car ride back to the center of town and on the way back to the motel we stopped at an Italian restaurant and had a lunch/dinner. It started raining hard after we got to the hotel. Now we need to decide what we will do tomorrow as it is to rain hard for the next 7 days.
