Rain Day

We woke up this morning, looked outside and saw that it was raining. After a very short discussion, we decided that we did not want to ride our bicycles is this heavy rain. So after calling George and Jane at the other hotel, we made arrangements and rented a U-Haul truck, loaded our bicycles and our stuff into the back of the truck. We then visited a farmer's type market in downtown Lancaster, where we ate lunch. We then climbed into the U-Haul truck and headed to Hershey, PA for a quick tour of the factory and bought some chocolate goodies. Then we climbed back into the truck and headed to Valley Forge. All day we had some light rain and Jim thought several times that we should have gotten on our bicycles at 9:00 AM and rode to Valley Forge. But at 2:30 PM as we were driving to Valley Forge, it began to rain much harder and longer. At that point he was glad that we were not riding our bicycles today. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be much better, cloudy but no rain. Jane and George walked to a nearby store, while Jim was returning the truck and then we all ate a good home prepared meal in the hotel lobby.
