Warren to Fordyce AR
Distance: 29.3 Miles

This morning we awoke to a completely dark sky at 5:30 AM. We got dressed and headed to a restaurant for breakfast. The sky was full of dark clouds. We returned to the motel after breakfast and began the process of loading the bicycle. We headed for Fordyce on Highway 8. After going 7 miles we began to feel sprinkles of rain. After 10 miles the sprinkles turned into a light rain and we looked for shelter to hide in until the rain ended. We ended up under a two car metal shelter. This shelter had a roof but no sides or front or back. We parked the bicycle between the two cars and under the shelter was a glider that we were able to sit on. We had been under this shelter for only a few minutes when the rain dramatically increased. For the next hour we sat under this shelter while a very heavy rain storm beat on the shelter roof.

Finally after sitting under the shelter for almost 2 hours we waterproofed the bicycle with plastic bags and continued on our way to Fordyce in light rain. A few miles later the rain had completely stopped. We garbed a quick salad in town and then rode out to the motel near the freeway. The motel had a guest laundry so we were able to wash all our clothes, and dry out the rain damage.

Once again we are at a motel by the freeway but away from town. So supper was Pasta delivered by a Pizza place. The clouds are coming in, hope it does not rain tomorrow.
