Tallahassee FL
Rest Day

Today was what we call a rest day. Which means the bicycle does not leave the hotel room and gets a good rest while we walk all over town. Today we really enjoyed Tallahassee and learned a lot about Florida History. We toured both the old and new Capitol Buildings and visited the Museum of Florida History. Florida's history has been influenced by people of many different backgrounds more then some other states we have visited. First were the civil rights issues and to overturn the Jim Crow laws and then the influx of the Cubans after the communism revolution. We found everyone very friendly and polite.

This evening we walked a couple of blocks to dinner, which took longer then necessary as it was all uphill and because Mary Kay stopped and had a hair cut. Something she normally would not do on a bicycle trip, but she was tired of the hair being in her eyes. We came back to the motel and have been getting all of our stuff packed to travel.
